3/12/2023 0 Comments Rule of rose scaryJennifer mainly relies upon a variety of improvised melee weapons, such as dessert forks and lead pipes, that will either deteriorate over combat and eventually break or can only be used a few times to instantly kill an enemy. To defend herself, Jennifer must utilise various weapons - combat in the game is primarily melee-focused and will require Jennifer to use her ability to dodge enemies to survive. Throughout the game, Jennifer must defend herself against various hostile creatures, with the game's primary enemy type being Imps, disfigured child-sized humanoids who come in different forms with different animal heads and will attack Jennifer with different forms of weapons before attempting to latch onto her and drain her life force. If Jennifer loses all her health, she will die, and the player will have to restart the last Bucket Knight they spoke to. The game can be saved by interacting with creatures known as Bucket Knights, who will also provide the player with directions and advice should they become lost. Items can be dropped on the floor and then picked up again at any time, allowing the player to ferry items around different rooms when needed. Jennifer's health is represented by a simple health bar, and she can only carry twelve items at once, which is represented by an inventory screen consisting of crude chalk drawings to represent the items. Throughout the game, the player can also give commands to Jennifer's golden retriever companion Brown, such as telling him to stay where he is, follow her, or help her search for items. Rule of Rose is a survival horror game in which the player takes on the role of Jennifer, guiding her through the environments of the game to search for items, further the plot by accomplishing tasks, solve puzzles, and find the monthly required gift of the chapter to appease the Aristocracy and donate it to the Gift Box.
